NCHE Thrive! Homeschool Conference 2026

North Carolinians for Home Education held its 2026 Thrive! Homeschool Conference in Winston-Salem from May 21 through May 23. The gathering was designed to equip parents through speakers, workshops, curriculum access and community. It served families at several stages of home education, including those exploring homeschooling, parents working through current challenges and households preparing teenagers for college, trades or adult responsibility.

The official conference information described a large vendor hall, teen activities, mentoring, regional gatherings and a college and trades fair. Those elements widened the event beyond lecture sessions. Parents could investigate teaching resources, students could explore future pathways and families could meet others from their part of the state. NCHE framed the conference around helping parents homeschool with confidence and joy, a message that recognized both the freedom and the sustained work involved in educating children at home.

For families, the conference's practical value came from bringing information and relationships together. A workshop can introduce an idea, but direct conversations with presenters, vendors and experienced parents help families test whether that idea fits a child's needs and a household's capacity.
