The seventeenth Mirabile Dictu International Catholic Film Festival was held online from February 10 through February 12, 2026, connecting an international field of filmmakers and viewers through stories engaging faith, moral responsibility and human dignity. According to the festival's official announcement, 1,832 works were submitted for consideration. Finalists represented eight countries, showing the broad geographic reach of a program founded to give greater visibility to films, documentaries, television work and short-form productions with spiritual or morally constructive themes.
The festival awarded its Silver Fish honor to several 2026 winners. My Wings Will Protect You, directed by Antonio Cuadri of Spain, received the best-film award. Un Giorno in Più, directed by Fabio Bagnasco of Italy, was selected as best short film, while Glen MacKay's Holy Land received the documentary award. An international jury selected the honorees from the final competition.
